PARENTING THE LOVE AND LOGIC® WAY
Do You Find Yourself:
-
Arguing over homework?
-
Fighting with your child over their devices?
-
Feeling like you have to yell to be heard?
-
Bribing kids to do their chores or behave?
-
Constantly playing referee?
Parenting the Love and Logic Way® is a research-based approach to parenting founded by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, PhD, and Foster Cline, MD that parents have used for over
45 years. Their program is dedicated to making parenting fun instead of stressful and chaotic.

Children learn the best lessons when they're given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. Children's failures must be coupled with love and empathy from their parents or caregivers. Parents can apply this approach immediately to a wide range of situations instead of struggling with difficult counseling procedures.
Why Does It Work?
-
Uses humor, hope, and empathy to build up the adult/child relationship.
-
Emphasizes respect and dignity for both children and adults.
-
Provides real limits in a loving way.
-
Teaches consequences and healthy decision-making.
Dr. Debbie incorporates the Love and Logic® approach in counseling sessions with parents/caregivers, in addition to providing training to community, school, church and parent groups. Classes are also provided at Lifeworks Therapy periodically.
